Draft for Matthew's review. Not legal advice; have a lawyer read it before launch, and before any payments are taken. Items in [brackets] need filling in.
Terms
Effective [date]. These cover squawktalk.app and the Squawk of the Week puzzle. The paid trainer will have its own terms when it opens.
Training aid only
Squawk Talk is for study and practice. It is not maintenance data, not FAA-approved training, and it does not count toward mechanic experience under 14 CFR 65.77. The aircraft, drones, wiring and part numbers are fictional. Never use anything here to maintain, inspect or return a real aircraft to service: follow the manufacturer's current data and the regulations.
ACS mapping
Where content is mapped to FAA-S-ACS-1, that's my own alignment. It isn't endorsed by the FAA or any certifying body.
Using the site
- You can play the puzzles and share your scores and the puzzle links freely.
- Don't copy the site, its puzzles or its artwork to build or sell something else, and don't try to break or overload it.
- The site and its content are © 2026 Matthew Hinkle. [Update if a company is formed.]
Prices and the waitlist
Prices on this site describe plans planned for launch. Joining the waitlist doesn't charge you or commit you to anything. Prices and plans may change before launch.
No warranty
The site and puzzles are provided as they are. I work to keep them accurate, but I don't promise they're error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for losses that come from using them.
Links
Forms run on Tally, and some links go to FAA, Facebook and LinkedIn pages. Those sites have their own terms.
Changes and law
These terms may change; the current version is always on this page. Colorado law applies. [Confirm.]
